Joanne Sorrentino, Esq., has been practicing for over 35 years and opened the Law Office of Joanne Sorrentino, Esq., LLC, in 2015. Joanne graduated from Fordham University at Lincoln Center as a double major with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Theater Arts. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law. She served as Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Adolph Romei and the Honorable Joseph N. Donatelli. She was an Adjunct Professor at Berkeley College in the Paralegal Studies Program, instructing several courses including Business Law, Family Law, Legal Writing, Wills and Estates, and Real Property.

During her career, Joanne had the privilege of arguing before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals where she successfully argued the case of Gibbs v. Carnival Cruise. She was also successful in Cummings v. The Money Store, a U.S. Federal District Court Bankruptcy case. In addition, Joanne has practiced in many areas of the law, including guardianship, land use, residential and commercial real estate, bankruptcy, family law, personal injury, insurance defense, insurance fraud, discrimination claims, general litigation, wills and estates, commercial transactions, business formation and school law.

She is a current member of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She holds a fifth degree black belt in Goshin Ryu Karate from Pace Institute of Karate; is a member of the Shongum Sportsmen’s Association, and a prior member of the Mountaintop Church in Budd Lake, New Jersey.
